Carver Community Center

     Carver community Center is a 501C-3 dedicated to enhancing the lives of Ross County’s families. We provide a welcome reprieve from the struggles and their day-to-day lives. Some are facing homelessness, hunger or abuse. Most of the children are facing absent parents, lack of educational opportunities and neglect. All our searching for assistance in breaking those barriers which are preventing them from moving forward.

 

     Each year, we helped thousands who have nowhere else to turn to. We help provide meals, a safe place for children to learn and play and resources for those who need help surviving day to day.  Our programs also include: job training, providing childcare for the working poor, Space for start up churches and groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.  We host programs such as the Summer Food program, which provides meals for over 600 children Darren best summer months. This help comes with a price. In order to provide the services we must seek donations to ensure the continued operation of our programs. Here is an example of our need:

 

$2,500 for youth activities

 

$5,000 for purchases of food and educational supplies

 

$1,000 Transportation to and from school

 

     Our programs are building brighter futures for so many people.  In order to continue our programming we are requesting donations. Did you know a donation of twenty dollars would feed a child an afternoon snack for one month?  Many times these stocks will be the only food that child receives for the evening.

 

     Organizations such as ours exist to support the less fortunate. Any contribution, no matter the size, goes a long way and making a difference in someone’s life. Your contribution will help keep Carver a viable organization for the young people and many others and Ross County community.
